Anu Malik announces his comeback into the industry!

The man who turned the face of Indian music industry since the 90s, Anu Malik announces his come back into the industry with some new sets of groovy music and tunes.

Starting his career at a young age of 20, Anu Malik has transformed himself into a music mogul over the four decades of his career creating more than 350 songs for various Bollywood movies and albums. While his first stepping stone into the world of Bollywood music had been his stint with the 1977 movie 'Hunterwali' it was in fact his compositions for the movie 'Baazigar' in 1993 that got him recognition and fame making him the most loved music composers of Bollywood.

Hailing from a music family, Anu Malik picked up his passion for the beats and melody under the guidance of his father and mentor musician Sardar Malik. It was just at the age of 7 that he realised his brilliance with music where he could create tunes and melodies just at the tip of his tongue within seconds. His memorable debut scores like 'Ek Jaan Hai Hum', 'Sohni Mahiwal' and 'Aasman' reflected a unique style that differed from the Bollywood status quo and created much uproar among the audiences. His approach to music was greatly inspired by the western artists paired with the classical notes of tabla and it was in fact this blend of beats that his creations 'Baazigar O Baazigar'and 'Yeh Kaali Kaali Anakhein' for Shahrukh Khan starrer superhit film 'Baazigar' received the liking of the youth of India making him the rockstar of the era and winning him his first Filmfare Award as a music director.

With an unimpressionable charm and a versatile attitude, Anu Malik created musical hits ranging from romantic ghazals like 'Tere Dar Pe Sanam' for 'Phir Teri Kahaani Yaad Aayi' to groovy dance numbers like 'Oonchi hai building' for 'Judwaa' and 'Tumse milke dil ka hai jo haal' for 'Main Hoon Na.' In 2001, Anu Malik also received the National Film Award for best music director for the movie Refugee and later won his second Filmfare Award in 2004 for his compositions in 'Main Hoon Na.' Apart from being an excellent music director, Anu Malik also tried his hands at playback singing for songs like 'Julie Julie' and 'Ek Garam Chai ki Pyali' which became rave hits. His brilliance and his spectacular work also got him the honour of judging the reality show 'Indian Idol' for almost all its season and he also was a part of the jury for the show 'Entertainment ke liye Kuch Bhi Karega.'

Ruling the 90s with his music, Anu Malik still leads the music charts with some of his recent compositions for movies like Dum Laga ke Haisha, Shootout at Wadala and Sui Dhaaga.
